WASHINGTON, D.C. (March 20, 2008) – Renowned producer Frank McNamara, known for his stellar work producing The Irish Tenors and The American Tenors, showcased his latest production – “If You’re Irish…” – at DAR Constitution Hall with an all-star contingent of Ireland’s most celebrated soloists backed by a full orchestra.
McNamara is credited with giving The Irish Tenors “their sound” while overseeing their first five albums. DC was introduced to three sensational artists from the Emerald Isle in tenor Derek Moloney, soprano Deirdre Shannon (Celtic Woman, Lord of the Dance), and dynamic Irish fiddler Cora Smyth (Lord of the Dance, Celtic Tiger).
The sensational soloists were joined onstage by the talents of DC’s own Capitol Hill Chorale, recently recognized as the area’s top choral group.
